DOGS OF CAPE TOWN

BRIEF:

To create and develop a video series that incapsulates a current prevalent trend in Cape Town. Curate relevant social media pages to promote awareness and spark hype for episodes.

Humanisation of dogs in Cape Town

Cape Town has witnessed a surge in the ownership of dogs, especially with regards to adopting them. The interesting part is the reasoning behind the ownership. Individuals aren’t necessarily adopting and owning dogs for companionship but more towards boosting their style, personality and overall aesthetic. Whats more is the way humans are treating their dogs…like HUMANS! From having their own Instagram accounts to doing yoga with their owners.

The video series aims to convey the the rate at which dogs as an animal species have become humanised, specifically in the region of Cape Town.
